In my last post, I talked about my final weeks of my User Experience class. I’m entering my final week, and I’m honestly writing this post super late at night because I had a hard time sleeping. After taking about a year or so off of college, I came into this term not fully confident in myself. I struggled so much the first time, so what was going to be different this time around? Well, I actually ended up enjoying myself a lot more this time.
I ended up with a good advisor who got me into classes that I actually really enjoyed taking. They kept my attention and I learned a lot from my classes, especially UX. One of my biggest struggles was not being able to stay focused on my classes, and eventually falling behind and going downhill from there. This time, it was a complete 180; I enjoyed the course material, I found myself actually talking about my classes more frequently to my parents and trying to explain to them all the cool things I learned. It was a genuinely enjoyable couple of months, and I’m glad it was as fun as it was.
One thing I would change is that I was still not as thorough with my work as I would’ve liked. I did well in my classes, but I missed a couple things that I wish I could go back and change just to bump those numbers up a little higher. But I did way better than I anticipated and I’m satisfied all around.
Thank you for reading, and thank you professor for the fun term.
